Project Overview

The project aimed to enhance the functionality of the Sampath Bank Vishwa Mobile App by integrating a crucial feature: the ability to open a bank account directly through the application. Prior to this addition, the app primarily provided banking facilities but lacked the capability for new customer acquisition via mobile.

Objective

The primary objective of the project was to streamline the account opening process for Sampath Bank customers by incorporating a Know Your Customer (KYC) form flow within the Vishwa Mobile App. This would allow users to initiate the account opening process seamlessly through the app, reducing the need for physical visits to the bank branches.

Features Implemented

  • KYC Form Integration: Developed and integrated a user-friendly KYC form within the mobile app, enabling users to fill in essential personal and financial details required for account opening.

  • Document Upload: Implemented a feature to allow users to upload necessary identification documents (e.g., national ID, passport) directly through the app, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Real-time Verification: Incorporated real-time verification mechanisms to authenticate user-provided information and documents, enhancing the security and reliability of the account opening process.

  • Notification System: Integrated a notification system to keep users informed about the status of their account opening application, providing updates on verification progress or any additional requirements.
